All over

Well, I can't believe the Holidays are over! It was kind of strange not having snow on Christmas, but I'm definitely not complaining! I had a week and a half off school, which was a much needed break, and very nice to spend at home relaxing. We had Chance's Dad and his wife Julie at our house for Christmas, and it was really nice to spend the Holiday with some family! On Christmas Eve I made Grandma's cheese soup and Malibu Chicken, not to toot my own horn, but toot toot! I think they both turned out very well! On Christmas morning we woke up and Chance and I decided to keep all our gifts low key this year and of course Quentin didn't really care about presents, so we got him what he needed...a highchair and some clothes. That evening, we made a Ham (we're still eating leftovers) and cheesy potatoes, yum! Then, on Saturday we drove to the beach and it was a beautiful day lounging around, Quentin loved playing (actually not playing, I mean eating) the sand!

Last night for New Year's Eve we wanted to keep it low key and be able to hangout with Quentin, so we went to one of our friend's house. They cooked a delicious steak dinner and we watched the ball drop. We had tons of fun and lots of laughs! Here's a few pics of the last week...

Quentin on Christmas Morning

His face in this pic doesn't look like he's enjoying himself, but he loved the beach

Enjoying his Christmas present

This is our family on New Year's Eve, I thought Quentin looked hilarious in this pic, because he can barely hold his eyes open

What a night...

Yesterday turned out to be quite interesting for me. I had school until 5 and had to hurry home to get ready to head to Chance's company Christmas party at 7:30. Now, keep in mind that with no traffic (luckily it was Saturday, so there wasn't any) my drive home from school takes about 50 minutes and then the drive from our house to the restaurant where the party was is about 25 minutes, so that gave me just enough time to come home and get ready. HA! That's in a perfect world!!! I wasn't able to leave school until about 5:15 and as we (I carpool with a girl from school that only lives about 5 miles from me) were driving on the freeway we heard this strange noise, I knew it wasn't right and I had a feeling it was my tire. We pulled off an exit in the shoulder to check it out, low and behold my front right tire wasn't just flat it was coming apart at the seams! Great! I drove slowly to a gas station and called Chance for instructions on how exactly to change my tire. That took about twenty minutes and let me tell I don't think I did too bad for my first time changing a tire! Well we got back on the freeway and of course with my spare on I didn't want to go over 60 MPH. It was a long drive home! Once I got home, I only had a few minutes to throw myself together, and luckily Chance had gotten all of Quentin's stuff ready (or so I thought). Phew, we made it to the restaurant only a few minutes late and were finally seated. I was holding Quentin and I handed him to Chance when I noticed I had two huge wet spots on my lap. Crap! Quentin leaked through his diaper, luckily it was only pee! I took him to the bathroom to change him with all the stuff Chance had gotten ready... yep, no extra clothes! I went out and asked Chance to check in the car to see if we were lucky enough that we had an extra onsie in there, we did! Aaah, now it's time to relax and enjoy ourselves! Right, it wasn't 30 minutes later and Chances boss was playing with Quentin and said something about leaking and we both figured he was just talking about earlier. Nope, Quentin leaked again! Only this time, not pee! We had to make do with what we had and use his other clothes that he had on before that had dried for him to wear! We ended up having a great time at dinner after that and no other crazy things happened to us.

Happy Thanksgiving

This is a pic of Quentin from Halloween, but I thought it was fitting for today since he was a turkey! I hope everyone had a great thanksgiving!

Quentin loves his bath! Here's a video of him splashing in the tub... WARNING: Nudity

The video was to big to post so chance put it on his website. You can view it at:

Floridian

Chance and I went and got our Florida Driver's licenses today. It was so nice at DMV because we basically walked in and went right up to the counter. Now all that's left is for us to get our Florida license plate. In order to do that we have to get our Auto insurance through a carrier here, since our current insurance doesn't cover Florida. We got a few quotes today and the premiums are ridiculous! We were kind of spoiled in Utah with our insurance because Chance knew our agent, so he (apparently) gave us a killer deal. I almost can see why it's so much here because the drivers are horrible (yes, even worse than Utah drivers!). Just wanted to let everyone know that we are 'officially' Floridians!

Growing Boy

Quentin is getting bigger everyday (surprise, surprise). He is such a happy boy and so much fun! He smiles all the time, but it seems like whenever I get the camera in front of him to take pictures, he never smiles! He loves eating his cereal. I decided to take of picture of him, of course no smile, but it's still cute.

Fun in the Sun

Ok, so I haven't been so good at updating my blog. I'm sorry, but it's been a little crazy for the last month. I will try to do better...

Yesterday we took our first trip to the beach! It was only an hour drive for us and we were sitting on the beautiful white sand on the Gulf Coast. One of the first things we saw when we sat down was a couple dolphins about 50 yards out playing in the water! I have to say that Quentin seemed to enjoy his first trip to the beach, but he was covered from head to toe in sand! With this so close to us, I hope we go quite a bit because it's cheap (free) and tons of fun! After we sat on the beach for a few hours we walked across the street to grab some food. We sat out on the deck to watch the sunset while we ate. It had all the potential to be a beautiful sunset, but at the last minute there was a bunch of clouds. I was a little disappointed, but it was still awesome!
