Nature vs. Nurture

With Quentin growing, so is his curiosity. He loves trying to 'fix' things and is also very inquisitive with whatever project Chance is working on. Chance and I were talking the other day, how we wonder if his curiosity is natural or if he sees Chance doing quite a bit of stuff, therefore he wants to be like him. I personally don't think there is a fine line between either of the two, I think it's a little of both. I have a feeling he is going to be a very bright boy!

The Holidays

We had a great Christmas and New Year's here. Christmas Eve we had some good friends over for some yummy Cheese soup and bacon wrapped ham (which I picked up that tip from the food network and it was amazing - thanks Giada). We spent the rest of the evening after dinner on our new outdoor furniture relaxing and tracking Santa on Norad, just to be sure our friends got home before he got to Florida. We actually got to sleep in a little bit on Christmas morning because Quentin didn't wake up until 8:30, WOW! It was awesome watching Q open presents and he was so cute grabbing them from under the tree and carrying them over to who they were for. After cleaning up the wrapping paper we made our round houses, all we were missing was sausage and chocolate milk, but they were still delicious! We then had a relaxing day at home hanging out with Grandma Julie when she finally made it here (she definitely spoiled Q)! Our New Year's was also very nice. We went to our close friends house for food, fireworks, and festivities! Hope everyone else had as an enjoyable and relaxing Holiday! We love and miss all of our family and friends and think of you all often!

Debating

For the past month or so I have been debating whether or not to cut Quentin's hair. Chance is completely against it, but my thinking is that since it's getting less humid his curls aren't as tight and his hair eventually will be in his eyes. As of right now it doesn't seem to bother him. The only thing I'm worried about is that once I cut his hair, his beautiful curls that I love so much won't grow back. I've heard stories from a couple people that it happened to. I'm sure most of my family would tell me to go for it, but I'm still hesitant. Plus, I still need to butter Chance up to the idea.

Halloween

A little late but here's a couple pictures from Halloween. We had a busy day and Quentin didn't get to take his naps, so by the time we headed trick or treating he was exhausted! He just sat in his stroller the whole time plus it was really hot and still pretty humid so he was sweating so bad in his costume, needless to say we weren't out very long. I think next year we will definitely choose a costume that isn't so heavy for him.

I know I haven't posted any pictures of Quentin for a long time so here's a whole bunch of our camera loving boy. I'll post some stories later

Update

I know it really has been too long since I've done a post, but here's a little recap of what's been happening. We finally sold all 8 of the puppies. They were so cute before they all left, but I was extremely happy that they all sold. Chance's job has been going well for him and so far they aren't feeling any effects of this crappy economy...hopefully it stays that way. I only have 3 weeks left of school and I am excited and ready to be done and working again (I never thought I would say I was excited to be working). Quentin is getting to be so much fun for us! He's such a happy little boy and I can't believe he's almost 1. He started walking about a month ago and now he cruises along. His first official word, besides Dada and Mama, was puppy (Hmm, who can guess why that was). Well that's a pretty brief overview of our lives, but at least it's a little something.
